New this Spring: Knit and Crochet Patterns!
The new patterns will be available as individual down loads or in an E-Book coming soon in our store and on Ravelry!
Welcome to the Dye Studio!
Here you will find Artisan dyed yarn and roving with colors inspired by the hills, lake, trees and gardens of Sweet Tree Hill Farm in Central Virginia. Our Studio overlooks our sheep pasture surrounded by 100 year old nut and hardwood trees and our lake. In our colorways you will find pink and orange sunsets, brilliant maple trees, exposed moss and stone, wild and cultivated flowers, even farm culinary delights. As you browse our yarn and colorways, have fun imagining the inspiration that created it.
We stock a wide range of yarn from fingering weight Grassy Wool to thick & thin Impressions. Wool Paint is our Merino top roving, great for spinning, felting and even knitting. (See the Nø Spin Messenger Bag pattern!) Our original patterns are designed with colors in mind and the models are photographed on the grounds of Sweet Tree Hill Farm.
We are primarily a wholesale company. Our products are found in over a hundred yarn and fiber shops across the country. Please check out our list of wonderful retail shops. Please pay them a visit or many will ship directly to you. We do have a shop here on our site where you will find patterns in PDF form (free and to purchase) and some yarn and roving that remain after trade shows and shipping to the shops.
Retailers-please visit the Retail Shop page and download the Wholesale Information sheet located on the left. It contains information for discounts that are available to you and a form for ordering Scarlet Fleece products for your shop.
Landscapes Dyes! We are now the North American distributor of the wonderful dye we use to create our colorways. It is available to purchase in our shop, or in bulk with a special Dyers Rate or Wholesale Rate for shop owners. Find out more about these dyes.
And for insight into what happens in the dying process, the ins and outs of running our business, and what is on my needles-visit my blog, the Dyer's Diary.
Many thanks for visiting, we love sharing our colors with you!
