Patterns & Kits!

Scarlet Fleece patterns are an exercise in color-play. The objective is to design patterns to highlight and celebrate hand painted yarn. There are many techniques featured such as slip stitching, Fair Isle, bobbles and lace. Packaged kits are available for any pattern.


Kid Colors


 
Kid Color Cabled Cuffs
If you are looking for a quick project for a gift or accessory for yourself-and with the bonus of using only 1 skein-here is your project. These cuffs are perfect for cooling days and to add a little style when you want it. And the wool and mohair blend yarn is soooo cozy!  Designed by Dee Smith.

Easy Fair Isle Hat with Mittens
Complete this entire project with just 2 skeins. A great teaching tool for knitters new to Fair Isle and knitting in the round. (Shown in Kiwi and Raspberry & Kiwi colorways)

Diamond Ruffle Bolero
A smart cropped sweater with Intarsia diamonds and a contrasting ruffled edge. Shown here in Kid Color's "Purple Mountain" and "Olives" colorways. Pattern includes woman's sizes 36, 40, 44, and 46 inch chest sizes.

 


Painted Merino


Field of Poppies Cap
Use 1 skein in each colorway to complete this project. In fact, you could complete another hat if you reverse the colorways. Use this pattern to teach slip stitch to your knitting students! (Shown in I See Red and Wrangler colorways)

Simply Socks
1 Skein completes a pair of socks. This pattern is written with the beginning sock knitter in mind.

Painted Pullover Vest
Fun to wear as it is to knit, this vest has nice stitch detail that shows off both the variegated and colorwash colorways. (Shown in Red Velvet Waters colorway)

Career Cabled Cardi
This is just the jacket to have on hand to wear to the office or to a weekend getaway.Exagerated  cables flow on either side of the jacket opening on a reverse stockinette stitch background. The jac
ket, with gentle shaping , looks smart over jeans or a skirt. Requires only 6-7 hanks of yarn to create a jacket in woman's sizes small to large. Designed by Cheryl Beckerich.

Impressions Mushroom Cap
If you are looking for a quick one skein project for yourself or a gift-this is it! Choose from the many colorways and colorwashes available from Scarlet Fleece to go with every jacket or sweater in your closet. And if you weave your ends in neatly-this hat is reversible.

Bobble Edged Jacket
A fitted jacket with slim belled sleeves knitted using a mesh rib stitch that contours the figure. Add a bobbled edge and you have a unique wardrobe addition! (Shown in Sand and Sea colorway)

Bobble Snuggle
A fun trendy capelet that uses 2 skeins to complete either the small or med/large size. Learn a new technique called a backwards bobble bind-off! (Shown in Purple Mountain colorway)

Country Lace Shawl
This is a shawl that can be used to dress up a cocktail dress or equally wonderful over a pair of jeans. The lace stitch is elegant in it's simplicity and it's nature shows off a hand painted yarn beautifully. (Knitted in "I See Red!" colorway.) Requires only 6 skeins of Silk and Ivory silk and merino yarn.
  

Empire Waist Tunic
A top destined to be a favorite. Design details include an empire waist and gentle covering of the behind that is slimming on most figures. The silk and merino knitted fabric is light and comfortable. Skirt, bodice and middle are knitted separately. For woman's sizes small, medium and large.  Designed by Cheryl Beckerich.

Tudor Corset
Imagine a corset that is comfortable! This pullover draws from inspiration of clothing worn during the English Renaissance. It is knitted in the round in 1 piece using a variety of stitches including a slip stitch pattern. (Shown in Irish Eyes and Olives colorways)

Painted Parasols Fingerless Gloves
A flirtatious wristlet that will add a dash of Parisian style to any outing. Or wear them to keep hands warm at work while on the computer. Featuring a parasol lace pattern. One skein completes the project.
